The demand for Celtic fc match tickets, whether they be for home games or away matches is always huge as their incredible stadium is the biggest in Scotland and renowned for its unbeatable atmosphere. The noise and passion is always astonishing as the 60,000 fans lucky enough to have secured their football tickets for the Glasgow stadium roar on their Celtic heroes.
Since their first game in 1888, Celtic have established themselves as one of the most famous clubs in the world. Playing in their distinctive green and white hoops, they became the first British team to win the European Cup when they defeated Internazionale of Milan in Lisbon on May 25, 1967.
Celtic's support is massive. The record attendance for a European Cup match was set in 1970 when 136,505 saw Celtic defeat Leeds United, while in 1937 a European record crowd for a club match - 146,433 - saw Celtic beat Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup Final. Celtic have won the Scottish league title on 42 occasions, including nine times in a row between 1966 and 1974, and have lifted the Scottish Cup a record 34 times.
Their most famous players include the legendary Jimmy Johnstone plus Kenny Dalglish, Henrik Larsson, Billy McNeill, Jimmy McGrory and Tommy Burns. Jock Stein is the club's most celebrated manager.
In 2010 Neil Lennon took over as boss of the Bhoys, leading them to challenge Old Firm rivals Rangers for the Scottish Premier League title and reaching the 2011 Scottish Cup Final. Their squad features players from around the world, including Sweden (Daniel Majstorovic and Freddie Ljungberg), Israel (Beram Kayal), Honduras (Emilio Izaguirre), Greece (Giorgios Samaras) and South Korea (Sung-Yong Ki and Du-Ri Cha).
